My Editing Activities

Over the years, I developed a fairly good command over English language, though Telugu is my mother tongue. From 1967, I have been earning my livelihood in the field of Inspection, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Materials Testing (destructive and non-destructive) and other allied areas. I found that I have a good eye for catching mistakes. Yes, fault-finding is my strength. I found that this ability extends to proof reading too!

When I decided to become a reviewer, I was initially getting many ebooks and self-published books which contained several typographic errors, poor usage patterns etc. and when I pointed them out to the authors, they were surprised and in most of the cases, very happy since they could correct those mistakes easily. I received several emails appreciative of my editing skills, esp. in proof reading and usage improvements.

A few months ago, when I was doing a pre-publication review of a book, the author requested me to help edit her book and offered to give credit to me. I gladly accepted. That book is Forrest Tales Book I: The Secret Of The Labyrinth by Rhianna. Janet Chui was the content editor and I was the style and copy editor (my name appears inside).

See my reviews page in this site and follow the links there to get an idea of the books that I reviewed. I found that I am comfortable with most of them with respect to content (none of them were over my head).
